Who are you?

Why are you here?

What is your purpose in life?

These three questions are worth pondering for a lifetime because we are on an eternal journey of evolution.

Yesterday, Jay asked me what my plan for the day was.

Initially, I wanted to justify my existence by telling him about the productive day I had planned in my mind: wake up at 5 am, meditate for 30 minutes, Forrest bathing, practice yoga for an hour, cook and eat an organic salad with whole grains, and go to the library to read and write for 8 hours.

But then, I changed my mind. I decided to have a no-plan day.

To live spontaneously and be in the flow takes great courage for a recovered Type-A personality who boasted of her ESTJ personality since business school.

One year ago, the toughest thing for me to do was to surrender.

Because my ego wanted to hold onto the illusion of being in control.

Meanwhile, the higher self (aka. Soul) is quietly witnessing the perfection of my being.

Do you trust that you have a higher self within you who is rooting for all your success and patiently waiting for you to become aligned to all your heart’s desires?

We all used to be “the wonder child” who believes that everything is possible.

When I was a kid, I claimed that I was a genius and that my dream was to become the president of the world.

My father laughed at my dream and corrected me that the world was not a nation and there was not a job as “President of the World.”

He suggested I could either become the head of the United Nations or become a diplomat as a more realistic dream.

But I ignored his advice and kept on dreaming of my dream.

More than a decade passed, and my mom sometimes asked me whether I still remembered my childish dream and the moments when I claimed that I was a genius.

With knowledge and life experiences, I now understand what I really want is to create a positive impact on the world. It does not have to be in the political world.

I read every day to seek the truth about the nature of the universe, the soul, and life.

Practicing yoga was like falling into a rabbit hole as I become inspired by ancient spiritual scriptures, mythology, and metaphysics.

Every day, I wake up energized and passionate with questions in my mind.

My heart’s desire is to satisfy my curiosity and share what I know for sure with you.

I believe that all transformation starts from the level of consciousness, the thoughts inside our mind are not just our own thoughts.

Have you ever been inspired by a desire that seems to come out of nowhere?

That is the universal consciousness dropping a clue to you about your purpose and destiny.

I wanted to start a blog when I graduated from college in 2012.

I was young, fearless, and living in New York City.

It was a sequence of coincidences that landed me a summer internship at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art).

I was working in the business development department which was in charge of the MoMA design store.

It was an eye-opening experience for me because of the abundant activities during the internship and the creative and talented interns, and colleagues that I met.

I met a tall and thin model/blogger and we had lunch together at the sculpture garden on a beautiful summer afternoon. She prepared a tiny box of penne pasta with broccoli with spring water while I was eating a cheese sandwich and cola. She invited me to go clubbing with her on Thursday night on the Lower East Side. But I was intimidated by her beauty and I was afraid that I was not attractive enough to be her friend.

She is so gorgeous and I couldn’t stop wanting to be like her. To have her sense of spontaneity, joy, and charm. I decided to put myself on a 3-day juice cleanse from a voucher I bought in Gilt City and bought myself a Vogue to educate myself about style and fashion.

That was the start of my obsession with fitness, beauty, and love.

Fast forward, a decade later. Circumstances and events have occurred and it seemed uncanny how the universe is capable to arrange an opportunity for me.

I became a freelancer and social media manager when I started a new career in Jeju Island.

I had never imagined that people would be interested in knowing what I have to say.

Thanks for the internet and technology that enable us to express ourselves creatively to the world.

The happiest moment today was when I saw a private message from a reader of my blog asking me how to lose weight.

I feel happiest when I know that I can be of service to others.

And I wish you find your true calling easily and effortlessly:)

With love,

Meixue
