As a couch-potato-turned-fitness-enthusiast, I am obsessed with nutrition.
I have always wanted to write about this topic but I have procrastinated for 6 years because I always feel that I do not know enough to write about this.
But today I was reading Deepak Chopra's "Creating Affluence: the A to Z Steps to Live a Richer Life " And I was inspired by this quote " Self-sufficiency; The unified field requires nothing from the outside because everything is contained in the inside of the field. Curving back within itself, it creates again and again." Because I successfully lost 15kg (from 65kg to 50kg) and kept it off for 6 years.
I would love to share with you the shortcuts to weight loss and a healthy lifestyle.
My intention is to help you enjoy your journey every step along the way.
If you be patient and keep reading for another 3 minutes, you will experience a paradigm shift that will change the way you see yourself and how you eat.
Weight loss will no longer be a struggle but an effortless journey of self-love and adventure.
Firstly, diet does not work. It might appear to work for the short term but it is never a lifelong solution.
Because your body reflects your inner beliefs about yourself.
And it takes time to shift your beliefs and keep them changed. Because humans are creatures of habit.
Our conscious thoughts are influenced by our subconscious self-image.
In the past, you have received wrong thoughts and negative programming, which have manifested into the low self-worth and self-esteem that manifest into an overweight body.
But stay calm, because you are going to free yourself from the mental prison constructed by your current circumstances, family eating habits, and friends' comments.
The truth is, you are not your body. You are more than the physical manifestation you see in the mirror.
You are the infinite awareness of being, which has the characteristics of the most powerful energy field.
If you could accept that premise, your entire life will shift.
Because you no longer have to fear or be anxious about anything, you have the power to change your thoughts and create a new life.
Are you wondering why sometimes when you feel good, everything seems so easy?
The people are nice to you, you are surrounded by friendly people wherever you go, the parking spot is available everywhere.
Because your mood is so powerful that it creates an energy field that attracts the people, circumstances, and things to you according to your frequency.
Therefore, gorgeous, to lose weight, the most important thing is to keep yourself in a good mood.
You don't have to be 100% hyper-positive all the time.
But you want to maintain a peaceful state as much as possible.
Why?
Because most of the time, people overeat to feel better.
If you are already happy and peaceful, you rarely think about using food as a coping mechanism to feel better.

1. Keep a good mood
If you have ever tried any of the crash diets advertised in fitness magazines, blogs, or books, you might have already experienced frustration and a sense of defeat.
You might have blamed yourself for not losing weight soon enough or criticizing yourself as lazy or labeling yourself as a fat person.
But today is your new birthday.
Because there is a fail-proof approach to weight loss that is based on the principles of psychology and physiology.
I love principles. It makes everything simpler and clear.
There is no turning back. Because once you know the truth, it will set you free.
There are seven principles that will help you become the sexy goddess who looks fabulous in a bikini on any beach in the universe.

2. Eat ONLY When You Are Hungry
Various diets have one thing in common is that there is an outside guideline that is the BEST way to control what you eat, when you eat, and how you eat.
Our human bodies are so intelligent and diverse that there is no one RIGHT way to eat. If you travel a lot, you know how people from different cultures eat different foods and still be in good shapes. The lean Korean people who eat fried chicken and beer on a weekly basis are a myth to westerners.
Because there is no good or bad food. Your beliefs about the food create your personal experience.
And because your subconscious mind does not understand "NO". It takes whatever you focus on and attract more of it.
If you believe pizza is bad, then your subconscious mind will act against your conscious desire to stay lean. It will create circumstances and events that are filled with pizza.
Therefore, the temptation becomes too strong to ignore and you end up binge-eating.
Our subconscious beliefs are always stronger than our conscious wills.
To achieve the ideal weight, you want to use your powerful subconscious mind to work for your good.
I benefit a lot from simply lying in bed and listening to the hypnosis trance by Paul McKenna's "I Can Make You Thin: The No. 1 Bestseller"
It is much more effective and enjoyable to have your powerful subconscious mind work along with your conscious mind.
It is the most effective way to change your negative subconscious beliefs about yourself and food. When you wake up from the hypnosis, you feel relaxed and at ease with yourself.
Naturally, your behaviors will gradually change. You will listen to your intuition more and eat foods that you love in the perfect amount.

3. Slow Down When You Eat
Do you eat when you are extremely hungry and you could hardly control the amount of food you put into your body?
Do you skip meals to get more things done and end up ravenous when you realize you haven't eaten for more than 5 hours?
Do you order dessert just because you deserve it after a long day of work even when you are already stuffed?
The solution is to become conscious of your hunger level. Give yourself a break at least every hour and become aware of your breath and stomach.
If you feel slight hunger, you may want to feed your gorgeous body so that you could eat in a relaxing mood.
When you are relaxed, you never over eat. You take the time to savor each bite and feel how things taste.
You will be amazed by the pleasure you get from eating without distractions.
Even simple food like a piece of carrot tastes delicious when you take the time to slow down and savor it.

4. Eat What You Love
What you love eating is deeply encoded in your mind because of what you have been eating in your life. If you have followed the first two principles, you are free to eat whatever you love.
If you are a meat-lover, don't listen to the vegan nutritionist who raves against the love of your life. Be carefree because your body is more intelligent than any diet book. It knows how to build a healthy body for you to function at the maximum.
But does it mean you could eat burgers and hot fudge sundae for every single meal?
Your body naturally craves a variety of food. If you find your body keeps wanting the same things, there might be some more subconscious beliefs you want to shift.

5. Stop When You Are Full
Do you grow up in a household that encourages cleaning the plate every single meal?
If you do, today is the first day of your freedom to leave food on the plate.
You no longer need to have parental approval for your goodness. Because you are already perfect. There is nothing you need to do to win anything from the external. You have everything already inside you.
In the beginning, you might feel reluctant to "waste" food. But an affirmation you could use is that "There is always more food."

6. Accept Your Body to Avoid Emotional Eating
How often do you read Vogue and then look at the mirror and say something negative about your appearance?
You are your best lover. The relationship you have with yourself is the most long-lasting.
If you could accept yourself as you are, you are on the way to a happier, healthier, and sexier you.
But if you nitpick yourself, you will feel empty and hollow inside.
And then you might want to stuff the emptiness with food.
Therefore, it is your priority and your opportunity to start a new relationship with yourself.
You could start slowly by accepting one feature of yourself.
Think about the times when people give you compliments, what do they appreciate about you?
Let's remember the positive feedback and replay it again and again in our mind each time we think about ourselves.
You could change:
"I hate my chubby chin" into
"I have a lovely smile."
You don't need to accept every single thing about your body now, that is challenging.
But you could start slowly and definitely.

7. Use Positive Affirmations to Change Your Self-Image
I was inspired by the mirror work in Louise Hay's "Love Your Body"You could change your lifelong habitual patterns of self-sabotage into romantic self-love with this exercise.
Simply find a mirror and look at yourself in the eyes.
Be aware of the negative thoughts going on when you look into the mirror.
Today, use one simple treatment to start a new mental pattern.
And it is best for you to start with something easy. Something you already half-believe.
For example,
I Love My Body
"My body is a glorious place to live.
I rejoice that I have chosen this particular body because it is perfect for me in this lifetime.
It is the perfect size and shape and color.
It serves me so well.
I marvel at the miracle that is my body.
I choose the healing thoughts that create and maintain my healthy body and make me feel good.
I love and appreciate my beautiful body!"
